Thank you for the many emails about Kelly yesterday. We're feeling quite confident about how we'll be dealing with things. More to come on that but not yet. Life is good.
Last night, Doug and I had a double date with Liza and Buddy. We hadhad the opportunity to hear the performance of a great friend at Utah State University Student Center. He was a favorite missionary from Indiana and now, married, expeciting a baby, working in the music industry, he and his band, Checkpoint Charley, performed as a little run down of the performance that they'll do tonight, opening for Jon Schmidt at Thanksgiving Point! (That was an awful sentence, but I'm in a huge rush out the door!) My photos were awful! dang!
Kevin is like a son to us and has been for almost twenty years now. We also finally got to meet his most gorgeous wife, Emily, who we hadn't met because I had pneumonia when they were married! They are expecting their first child in October. It was a fun-filled night and soooooooo great to visit with Kevin between his busyness! As we were leaving, there was an older couple who'd been at the other end of the student center for a semi-formal type production that was taking place. They peeked their head into the auditorium where Kevin was jumping and dancing around on the stage in all of his energy, and they said, "Wow! That's quite different than what we were just listening to!" We walked out with the couple, telling them about what a great guy Kevin is and they were just impressed with him. They had to be close to 80! I love people with open minds!

One thing that made me laugh this week:
- When ZJ was waiting and hoping for one last turn on the kayaks, she figured out a way to assure herself that turn. She said, "Mommy, when Daddy gets back, I think that you and Daddy should just stay here and tell each other that you love each other. Aunt Karen and I will go out on the kayaks while you do it.
There is no real excellence in the world which can be separated from right living.
Love your lists! It's always such a treat to see what you're up to!LOL! Is the zucchini bread recipe on the recipe blog?
