Money Rummy: A fun new card game!
Use two decks of cards for 5-6 players. Each player gets three pennies, marbles, whatever at the beginning of each round.
For the first four rounds, deal 2 cards more than needed:
Round 1: 2 sets of 3
Round 2: 1 run of 4 and 1 set of 3
Round 3: 2 runs of 4
Round 4: 3 sets of 3
Deal 12 for rounds 5, 6 & 7:
Round 5: 2 sets of 3 and 1 run of 4
Round 6: 2 runs of 4 and 1 set of 3
Round 7: 3 runs with no discard to go out. Use all cards. To win, draw and lay the three runs down on table for last turn with no discard..
To buy the last discarded card when it’s not your turn, pay one coin or marble and take the discarded card plus the top card off the deck. That does not change the playing order. The next player continues in order. You can only buy three times each round.
Scoring:
Jokers are wild and count as 20 points. Aces are 15 points. 10s and face cards are 10 points. Number cards are five points.
Once you have the met the task for each round, you may also play on other players cards that are down on the table. EX: If Tom is playing a run of 4,5,6,7 of hearts and uses a joker for the 5 of hearts and you happen to be holding the five of hearts in your hand, you can replace his joker with the real card and then use the joker as you would like. BUT, you must have your cards down on the table before that is an option.
When the first person discards his last card, the round ends. To score, whatever is remaining in the other players’ hands counts against them.
Low score wins the game!
A great new VERY simple recipe: Dorito Chicken
Dip thawed chicken tenders or boneless breasts in a plate of Ranch Dressing on both sides, getting it good and wet. Dip them into a bowl of crushed Doritos (any flavor). Put in a 9x13 pan. Sprinkle remaining chips on top of chicken. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 45 minutes.
A great quote!
Who well lives, long lives; For this age of ours should not be numbered by years, days and hours.
Thanks for the recipe, sounds yummy!
