From Kate Middleton to Princess Catherine. She's lovely. I stayed up, dozing in and out all night, to watch the Royal Wedding bright and early this morning. Kate is truly a beautiful princess. My girls could hardly wait to watch when they woke up. A real life prince marrying a real life common girl, just like in the fairy tales. Every little girl loves that story. Delightful.
Our venture to Salt Lake City yesterday could be described in one word. Pain. I have never seen anything like what the doctor did to Kelly. I'll spare the details but suffice it to say that there were lots of tears and I would call it torture, not treatment. But, it was necessary and what the doctor did was helpful. By last night, Kelly could lift her arm above her head for the first time in six weeks. We'll have to go back down next week for a repeat and then, hopefully, all will be well so that Kelly can get back to her normal life. In spite of all of the pain, Kelly and I enjoyed the time together. She couldn't say thank you enough. I heart Kelly.
Doug and Quayd are camping tonight with the scouts. It's supposed to be raining then snowing and cold. This is one of those times when, if a mom were calling the shots, it would be cancelled until better weather! brrrrrrrrrs! Quayd is so excited. Doug... well, let's just say that he may sleep in his van. ;) Boys will be boys...
In the midst of all of the royal celebration, Mother Nature has reaked havoc in our southern states. Many prayers and good thoughts are offered in the direction of those who are suffering so in Alabama and the surrounding areas.
Happy Royal Weekend! Ours looks to be pretty tame. Wet, but tame. And tame is just fine with me.
A happy marriage is a long conversation that always seems too short.
I missed the whole live wedding ceremony... I was looking forward to get up at 4:00 AM to watch it and a power failure that lasted 30 hours was not in my plan!! I had even taped the whole thing but no power... We had terrible weather, powerful winds, very scary but nothing in comparison to these poor people in the south. How very sad... Praying for Kelly to completely recover from her surgery. After so much pain she will certainly think twice about any elective surgery.

I fast forwarded through the TLC coverage of the wedding. I thought her dress was lovely, but not to die for. I thought the hats on most of the people were RIDICULOUS. Poor Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. What were they thinking? I thought the couple showed hardly any emotion towards each other. You couldn't tell they were madly in love based on any of that, especially the kiss! Lamest kiss ever. Thought it was funny that the Queen fell asleep during the ceremony. Can't blame her.
