Doug has a meeting in Salt Lake City half an hour before Kelly's appointment with her doctor again, so we'll all be going down together. She's having another procedure and hopefully, this will be the last. She's got much more movement in the arm, so whatever he did, regardless of the amount of pain, was worth it. YAY! (Personally, knowing what she went through last week, if I were her, it would take an army to get me to go back for more. She's always been my bravest child...even when she was a child.)
We slept in the tent trailer last night again since Doug's didn't have to be up at 5:55. It was much better last night. I could get used to it. Grace thinks that we should sell the house and just park it in front of all of our friends and family's homes to borrow their showers. That's enthusiasm! At this point, if we set it up in our own back yard all summer, it would be worth it because the kids are so excited! They are very disappointed that we'll be closing it up until we actually camp.
I've got a ton to do before we leave so this morning, a quick "ten in ten words or less" list:
- I've still not made the lemon cookies. Gimme a break.
- No plans the rest of the week. It's almost Friday.
- Wasn't this supposed to be a slow week?
- Sleeping in the tenttrailer was better the second night.
- Putting it away until we really camp. Kids not happy.
- My front flowerbeds are screaming, "Helllllllllllp!"
- Going to SLC + Drive-up Window food = just not right.
- Dad's radiation treatments had to be stopped for a week.
- He sounded a bit better after three days of the break.
- It's BEAUTIFUL outside! Spring is here! I've got cherry blossoms!
We're off!
We can only be said to be alive in those moments
when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.
