Some Friday morning rambling...
- Most important! Dad finished his radiation treatments this morning! They'll run tests in two months and see how things went. He sounded weak but relieved. I can't imagine. I do love my dad!
- I'm feeling a little better today. This bug has hit our valley with a vengeance. So many people with the flu. This is not time for sickness! This is time to get outside and enjoy!
- My instant messenger disappeared two weeks ago. Then, the Media player. Then, my anti-virus disappeared. When I tried to find it, I had to reinstall it fourtimes, with tech support on the phone. Nightmare! My IM popped up once in the middle of the restarts. Now, it's disappeared again. Computers! Can't live with them, can't shoot them! GRRRR!
- On the local morning show a few days ago, they gave a good reminder after a death occurred because the 911 lines were busy from trivial calls. The police officer said that the only time we should everdial 911 is 1. To report a fire. 2. To stop a crime. 3. To request an ambulance. For all other reasons, we should call dispatch. Just a suggestion... post the dispatch number near your phone and program it into your cell phone. This PSA was brought to you by me. :)
- Today, I have to be at ZJ's school twice for programs and activities. This is the most relaxed end of the school year I've had since Liza was in elementary school. Loving it!
- Our big "beginning of summer" weekend plans include planting the garden, a Pirates of the Caribbean marathon with the kids and then seeing the new movie at the theater, church, a date and a few cook-outs. I've never been a big fan of traveling on this or Labor Day weekend.
- After weeks of searching for a Scentsy dealer, I've actually met an awesome gal who's on top of her game. Yesterday, she brought me all of her samples. I guess I'm having a "book party". Gracie and I went through the sample scents, dividing them into "not so much", likes, the loves, and must haves! I was intrigued by the fact, that without comparing notes once, we had the identical choices, with the exception of two out of sixty. Gracie loved that even our smellers are the same. Two! I think it's because she's been raised around my favorite scents, but it was interesting too, that there were a few that smelled like bathroom cleaners to me. Grace said, "This one smells like a bathroom." That's really ironic.
- Speaking of Gracie, she called from school with upset stomach. We decided that she had a touch of sunstroke from her all-day swim party the day before. She is sooooo dark already! We were amazed that she could brown up in one day, but she's July tanned already! How would it be.
- Lady Gaga. Maybe it's my age. I don't get it. I really don't mind her music. I just don't like to watch her. Maybe I need a wig and a pointy shoulder jacket, then I'd feel as free as her hair too. Go figure.
- It's the weekend! Be safe! Have fun! Make memories! That's what we plan to do!
It is what it is but it will become what you make it.
I'm with you on L. Gaga. Why with her talent, does she have to be THAT character? I love her voice, but won't buy her CDs.

A Pirates of the Caribbean marathon sounds like fun. I have to agree with you on Lady Gaga, love her music but don't like her style and her videos, a bit too over the top for me! Have a great Memorial Day weekend!
