I've had technical difficulties this morning and lost the internet for a bit. Called repair and am back in working order. ugh.
- Doug was home just in time to get ready and attend his friend's viewing. The girls wanted to sleep at Nana's again, so Doug and I had the rest of the night to ourselves. Doug shared a ton of details without my asking, which is unusual. (He's a "It was fun." kinda guy and I'm a "And then, we parked the van under the biggest tree on the left side, the side by the cute little bushes that had little squirrels who were eating these tiny little nut thingees...kinda gal.) Shocking, I know.
- Doug told me about a game that the boys had played after the camp hosts had done a skit where they had a "pre-chewed" food contest. SICK and WRONG! He also told about a relay race that involved all of the boys in the whole camp. Our boys placed third in the relay, which included quoting the scout motto, tying knots, swimming and bringing in a canoe, building a fire and other activities that used their skills, knowlege and personalities. Doug was most impressed by how the boys had worked together so well. It sounds like a fabulous experience for the boys, especially now that the weather has improved.
- Quayd's camera is having issues and I am sad that he won't bring home pictures like he did last year. I have to say, though, I am missing my boy! Now that his dad is home, it's making me miss Quayd even more.
- The girls are lost without Quayd, who's always creating some sort of entertainment for them. Yesterday, they were pouting and feeling blue...partly because they miss Quayd and partly because I said that the pool is still too cold to get into. I started teasing, "Don't smile! NO SMILES ALLOWED!" which got them giggling and then I said, "Let's go get a treat!" A&W Swirl Ice Cream cones were the choice. It doesn't take much to make them happy!
- My dad is not doing well. He had to go to the hospital for rehydration and the doctor now thinks that he may have more lung issues. I don't like this news at all. I worry so much about Dad.
- Liza told me that their move is set in wet cement. They are going to go down to Peoenix next weekend to check things out before they start packing their bags. I'm not sure what to pray for! Selfish mom in me says "HATE IT!" Encouraging mom in me says, "It will all be great!" We'll see.
- Seriously, if you aren't into So You Think You Can Dance, you should try watching it. It's an amazing show filled with talent and passion. Best thing on TV all summer. Loving it!
Have a wonderful day!
Be beautiful inside and out!
Your daughters are adorable (and their doggie too!). Sorry to hear about your father, I will add him to my prayer list.
