I can't believe it's Friday already! Having a house full of company has kept me busy and I've had very little time to blog. A few things on my mind today...
- I think that I mentioned this a month ago, but seriously, shop Overstock.com. WOW! SUCH great service on returns. I am totally impressed!
- No camping this weekend. Doug may even have to work tomorrow. We're just chilling and loving the sunshine today.
- Qwest, our phone company/ISP has merged with another company. As a result, I've had to change all of my mail programs. So far, I've not retrieved or been able to retrieve my address book. If you and I communicate by email occasionally, please send me an email just so that I can put your addy back into my address book. Thanks!
- Last night, after work, Doug and a work friend stopped by to visit a lady who has a brain tumor. Her days in this life are limited to a few weeks, at most. Doug came home and shared how hard the visit had been. We had quite a conversation about life support, extending life with treatments and surgeries. I remember the Oprah episode where the mother who had cancer made the videos for her young daughter. I said that if I ever developed some terminal disease, I'd do something similar and I'd fight tooth and nail for my life. Watching others experience this makes Doug question if he would want to go through so much, leaving the family with debt and suffering. We see this differently. I hope that we never have to face it together and make a choice. So sad. I'm so glad that both my mom and my dad chose to fight their cancer! Doug called me a few minutes ago and told me that she passed last night.
- It's afternoon. I've got Zaylee here for the day too. It's crazy around here! Enough said.
Those who are lifting the world upward and onward are those who encourage more than criticize.
