I woke up at 4:30 this morning and just could not shut down my brain to go back to sleep. A few things on my mind this morning....
- Dad's health ~ he's not doing well this past few days. I am anxious to see him in September. He did just call as I typed the blog to let me know that they doctors were overmedicating him and it was causing the symptoms. Some relief!
- Liza and Buddy ~ they are going to make a trip to AZ next weekend to check things out. I've had several offers from friends and blogreaders to help them out. AMAZING, how wonderful people can be.
- Kelly's surgery ~ when we spoke yesterday, she sounds like things are improving. She has no regrets that she's done it because she loves the outcome of it all. I don't get it but I'm glad that she is happy.
- Doug ~ he starts his new shift in a few weeks. Getting to bed early is just not an easy feat in this home.
- Quayd ~ I know he's having the time of his life, and I'm glad for that. However, I miss his silliness and his happy disposition. I'll be happy when he gets home tomorrow. The girls woke up at different times this morning and as they said good morning, their first words were "Is Quayd coming home tomorrow?" Both of them. He's missed by us all. Even Go-Go keeps going to his bedroom door, sniffing and then walking away after checking to see that he's not in there.
- Go-Go ~ I heart our little doggie. He's everyone's love in this family. I like being a dog person. PS... He thinks that loofahs are the coolest dog toy ever!
- Houses ~ I know this is silly but I keep thinking about that old house that I fell in love with last fall. It no longer has a for sale sign on it, and the house was a total nightmare, but that yard. I loved it. It would have been fun to fix that home up but it would have taken twenty years to do it. Nightmare avoided, but still...
- Computer ~ My laptop keeps popping up with Low Disk Space. Impossible. I need to run it into Best Buy for a little check-up. Ugh.
- Weekend ~ We've camped and tended kids and not had a date in three weeks. We're due! Tonight!
- I am abundantly blessed. Life is good.
Patience is also a form of action.
Happy to hear the good news about your father, enjoy your weekend with Doug!

What a relief about your dad. Hope he's feeling better soon! I hesitated offering any help regarding Liza and Buddy because I know how much it breaks your heart to see them leave. I was going to say that if they have questions about an area to live or things to do, my niece and nephew live in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and they are around the same age. They would be able to give good advice. Have a fun date night! You and Doug deserve it! :-)

As a recent transplant to AZ (my husband's job required that we move from Texas 2 years ago), I know that once Liza and Buddy get past the INCREDIBLE heat of the summers, they will love the region. We live in SE Mesa and enjoy it very much. If they need anything, just let me know - happy to assist anyway that we can!
