nine

 We've got a ton to do today.  So, a few short random thoughts running around in my head lately:

1. First day of summer.  We slept in.  In the tent trailer.  Again. Buddy suggested that we sell the house and just live in it.  The kids thought that was a great idea!  I'm thinking that I'll pass! But, they are loving it.  Doug and I have told them that now that it's summer, we'll start taking it camping up the canyon, then it won't be opened at home.   Doug doesn't want them to get bored with it at home. I love that such small things are so exciting to kids. 
2. One of my favorite things about the beginning of summer is going through the kids closets and drawers.  It's the perfect time to get rid of everything that is tired, doesn't fit, not needed in the summer....   It's also a good thing to make a note of what the kids have that can be used next year for school clothes still and to know what you'll need to replace when school begins so that you can start school shopping early.
3. Tomorrow, my blast from the past will be a repeat of some summer organizing tips and hints.
4. It's warm and sunny!  Wahoooooo!
5. My brother had a new pacemaker put in yesterday.  We have never been very close but I do think of him and hope he has a quick recovery.
6. Sonic Happy Hour!  Yes!
7. Denise is having a ball in NYC!  She's calling and texting regularly.  I'm so happy for her fun! 
8. Casey Anthony...shocking.  Guilty.  Sad.
9. Bring on the heat!   Enough said!

Re-organizing my clothes closet at the beginning of each season is also one of my favorite things to do but this year, not so funny, some shorts and capris I bought last summer don't fit anymore... What was I thinking, buying a size 10!! I am a size 12!!

Doug is so wise and you are so much fun! I like camping in the back yard. Private toilets and a frig! Have good times and make memories.
