Today, some emotions...
secure: This morning, we awoke to the sound of hail poundingthe house. It's hailed and blewn and rained and thundered all morning long. Definitely a stay inside and keep warm morning. I just hope that the garden plants survive the weather.
Freaked out: As I was typing the blog, I felt something, a sting, on my neck. I'd felt it twice in the moments before but found nothing. I flinched and brushed the vindictive little bugger down my cleavage. A nasty spider. That's two spiders that have bitten me in the last month. I literally have a nickel size scar from a month ago still on my leg. Time to call an exterminator! Now I have creepy crawlies all over me! EEEWWW!
frustrated: Please pass some information about scout camp that takes place in FOUR days. Anything? Anyone?
Grateful: That my kids love to be read to! They're loving our reading time each day and asking for more. Hmmmm.... what will we do while Quayd's away at camp? I need a short and sweet girlie book for next week!
excited: Dad called yesterday and started the call with "Is this the most beeeautiful girl in the world?" He sounds more like himself every day! I love it! He did find another lump on his neck, however, which has made him nervous, but he thinks that it's probably just something from the radiation.
stunned: The Casey Anthony trial just continues to blow me away.
Thrilled: to see Denise again, yesterday. She made my day when she said that she'd been asked what she missed the most while she was gone and she said me! I missed her too!
entertained: The girls have been making "Plate Gardens" for the past few days. It's kept them totally entertained. They use paper plates, make some mud and then decorate little miniature gardens on the plates. They've been taking them to their favorite neighbors as gifts, which I don't mind because that says that they love them. It's great summer entertainment for kids! This photo is there little wagon full of supplies. Too cute.
Anxious: I saw the first trailer for Breaking Dawn! I don't watch previews but where I've read the book, I did see that one. I won't watch another until I've seen the movie in November. More vampire fun coming our way soon! Have I ever mentioned that I'm nota sci-fi or fantasy reader? I crack myself up. (and take much teasing for it!)
Busy: I've got a huge to do list today!
Content: I'm loving the slow life of summer! We're adjusting well!
We can teach from our experience, but we can not teach experience.
A book that I highly reccommend is Star Girl. LOVED this book. Also, The Goose Girl. Such good books. This LDS mama definatelty approves!
