How I can't wait for the photo above to happen to every U.S. soldier overseas! I've learned something this week. Something wonderful! Because of Doug's cousin's accident in Afghanistan, I've learned about a program that will beneift soldiers and their families in a way that makes me cry! I'm not a frequent flyer, but if I had extra miles, I would be donating all that I could to this purpose. If you have unused frequent flyer miles, you can donate them to the families of the soldiers who've been wounded in the war so that they can travel to visit their dads, sons, brothers while they are recouperating in stateside hospitals. Family visits help these wounded soldiers immensely in their recouperation. I saw a news story a few weeks ago about a man who'd traveled his millionth mile on an airline. I imagine he's accumulated a few frequent flyer miles. What a great way to see that they get put to use! Here's a link for details. I've not done it myself, because like I said, I'm not a big traveler and have never accumulated ski miles. So, the next best thing that I can do is spread the word. Check this out and do a good deed today!
Do good and care not to whom.
This is a beautiful picture! I am adding Doug's cousin to my prayer list.
