This week's blogging challenge: A friend on an email group sent this little questionnaire into our loop and I thought it was a great challenge and super beginning for a fun layout! I interviewed my family with these ten questions. So, here’s my answers of what my family think of me.... yikes!
My almost nine year old son, Quayd’s answers:
1. What's the funniest thing I do? Laugh
2. What's my favorite TV show? Survivor
3. How tall am I? 32 years old
4. What's my favorite thing to do? Play with the children
5. What makes me sad? When we tell a lie
6. What makes me laugh? When we tell you funny things
7. How much time do I spend on the phone? 89 minutes
8. Am I a better driver than your dad? Kind of but Dad’s MUCH better
9. What do I do when you're at school each day? Work on my scrapbooks and the computer
10. What should I be famous for? Because I make so many friends.
My 7.5 year old daughter, Gracie’s answers:
2. What's my favorite TV show? Survivor
3. How tall am I? About 15 months old.
4. What's my favorite thing to do? Scrapbook! ETA: I haven't scrapbooked in five years! And have only missed it recently.
5. What makes me sad? When I went to the hospital
6. What makes me laugh? When I crack you up!
7. How much time do I spend on the phone? That would be one hour.
8. Am I a better driver than your dad? I guess You.
9. What do I do when you're at school each day? Eat at Chilis
10. What should I be famous for? Taking care of us!
My five year old daughter, ZJ’s answers:
1. What's the funniest thing I do? When you say you can’t have Diet Coke and you do. ETA: That's ALWAYS been my downfall but I've not had one since December 7th and for now, according to my doctor, it's not a problem if I don't want to be sick every day.
2. What's my favorite TV show? Survivor
3. How tall am I? Really
4. What's my favorite thing to do? Scrapbook
5. What makes me sad? If we hit.
6. What makes me laugh? When you’re happy.
7. How much time do I spend on the phone? A lot.
8. Am I a better driver than your dad? You.
9. What do I do when you're at school each day? Take me to lunch.
10. What should I be famous for? Driving to Mesquite.
My 23 year old married daughter, Liza's answers:
1. What's the funniest thing I do? Still tease me about painting toenails after all these years. That or the fact that you sleep looking like Darth Vadar. ETA: THankfully, that has been a thing of the past and only lasted a year. No sleep apnea after the sugery!
2. What's my favorite TV show? Survivor. No, now, it’s Grey’s Anatomy. (She knows so much!)
3. How tall am I? 5'4" but you’d probably say 5'5".
4. What's my favorite thing to do? Be with me. (She added, "How selfish is that!?)
5. What makes me sad? Steel Magnolias, Beaches and Titanic
6. What makes me laugh? Teasing with Buddy and The guy on the bike delivering newspapers in "While you were Sleeping".
7. How much time do I spend on the phone? Do you get off?
8. Am I a better driver than your dad? Yeh, I hate Dad’s corners.
9. What do I do when you're at school each day? Computer, scrap or go out to lunch.
10. What should I be famous for? Besides what you are famous for? Everyone loves the relationship that we have and for scrapbooking.
My husband, Doug's answers:

3. How tall am I? 5'7", aren’t you? (Who was he trying to schmooze?)
4. What's my favorite thing to do? Hmmmmm.....
5. What makes me sad? Hungry children in Ethiopia (har-har-har)
6. What makes me laugh? Multiplicity
7. How much time do I spend on the phone? 25 hours a day
8. Am I a better driver than you? As far as getting around (directions)
9. What do I do when you're at school each day? Watch the babes and encourage them to do constructive things, teach them to read, laundry, clean the house, cook. You used to watch the View and Regis but now you don’t. ETA: I've not watched Regis in years!
10. What should I be famous for? My scrapbooks and my blog and my ability to develop repore with people
So, what I conclude about this whole survey is:
- My family thinks that I talk on the phone way too much. (This is actually quite humorous because there are only two people that I really talk that much to on the phone... Barbie, my sister-in-law, and my mother. Well... we won’t go there.) ETA: Now, my phone calls are to Liza!
- Doug doesn’t take these surveys seriously at all.
- I need to teach the babes what tall is. I must stand taller than I am because Doug and Liza both think I’m tall!
- Going out for lunch and using the computer are obviously something I do a lot of.
Patterning your life around other's opinions is nothing more than slavery.
