Our favorite summer salad:
Cucumbers
Tomatoes
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup cider vinegar
3 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. salt
pepper to taste
Slice cucumbers and chop tomatoes to bite-size pieces. Pour remaining ingredients over the veggies. Toss and refrigerate. Best served cold, so I just use cold veggies! Even if you don't like cukes and tomatoes, you'll love this!
Doug's Morning Blender Drink
3 veggies
3 fruits
his speciality oatmeal
a handful of vitamins
and on summer mornings...pumpkin flowers, milkweed, and any other thing he grabs while out in the garden.
Life is good! Especially in the summertime!
