- LIZA GOT THE BANK JOB!!!! Happiness! She'll begin tomorrow! The pay made her happy, the hours are perfect, the location is fantastic. It all worked out for her! So now, she and Buddy both have jobs and life can move forward. They are so happy!! I wanted to express appreciation for every prayer said in their behalf! Thank you!
- What a day! Shopping and registering three kids together all day long for nine hours. Am I nuts? We got Quayd all set, met his teachers, went through his new school so that he was familiar with where he needed to be and when, and he opened his locker on the first try! Happiness! Quayd can't wait for school, especially art!
- Gracie's school was much easier because she was familiar with everything from last year. Her locker wasn't so simple. Even I couldn't get it open the first fivetries. Gracie also had to get her booster immunization today, which is required for seventh grade. We've been "getting around to it" all summer long. We couldn't put it off any longer, she she cowboyed up and we got it done. While we were at it, we also got the recommended but not required meningitis shot, as well. She was a trooper!
- ZJ's school is tomorrow, although she's familiar with everything and already adores her fifth grade teacher. No problemo!
- There is a GIANT wolf spider hiding under a saucer, waiting for morning when Doug will "save me" from him. I'm just sure that he's going to lift that saucer and get me before I'm done blogging!
- We still haven't found shoes for the girls, so we'll finish up in the morning at JCPenney and Mom has offered to take us to Chili's for an end of the summer celebration. We ate at Chili's for lunch today, and when Mom called to offer, they cheered! Our family does love Chili's!
- For Family Home Evening tonight, we went to SubZero and watched them make homemade icecream with liquid nitrogen. SO much fun for the kids. And the combinations they come up with are just sick and wrong but, the babes loved them. Cotton Candy Cheesecake with Snickers. Now, that just sounds gross. But it was pretty tasty, I admit. My Expedition died last week. We had the wedding and so much else on our plate that we've not even worried about it until today. I woke up at 4AM with Doug to take him to work, so that I could use his van today. That put a priority on getting my vehicle fixed.
Tonight, while working on the truck with Denise's son, Nathan, Doug came inside and asked, "Babe, do you know what this is?", while holding a little thing that I was guessing was one of Quayd's Nintendo DSL games. None of us had ever seen it. Having no clue, I said, "I'll take a picture of it and send it to Buddy. He knows everything." I did. A few minutes later, Buddy called back and informed us that it was an anti-theft device. It fits beneath the steering column. They were only made for a short while, but without it in place, the car won't start. We put it in, the car started. All was well. (How it came out, I have no clue, as I had no clue it was even there.) Nate, Doug nor I had ever heard of it. Another reason that I didn't want Buddy to move to Arizona! He's my "go-to" guy for everything! We saw this as a definite tender mercy! It beats the heck out purchasing a new starter motor! And, again, isn't technology awesome!?
- I hope that the spider doesn't have a friend.
- Sometimes in life, you just have to let it go and move ahead. It beats beating a dead horse. That doesn't mean that it will be simple or pain-free, but do it anyway. Eventually, it hurts less, it gets better and it doesn't seem like such a big deal after all. I'm just saying.
Life is so dang good!
Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.
Wolf spiders have been terrorising me lately in my bathroom! Unfortunately my first one did have friends. :(

My husband is a mechanic, to funny on anti-theft device, that has happened to the locals here dozens of times here. What makes it sad, is that each time he was called to fix a vehicle it meant he had to call and speak to a specialist, which meant he had to charge for the service. Thank goodness Buddy knew what it was and where it went, Antonio made a minimum of $100.00 for finding the security devices and re-installing them. Money and time saved, gotta love it. But now you know you can just pull it out when you go to the mall or have to leave it some place that you might be worried about your car.
