The girls and I got the guys off and we got busy! Yesterday, we found a new pillowtop mattress, which ZJ needed desparately! If it weren't a twin, it would be mine, it's so comfy! And we got her a very cute new headboard. She's very excited about her room. Having daughters who love decorating as much as I do... it's awesome! As a result of the new mattress, we moved furniture. Without Doug. The girls and I disassembled ZJ's daybed and assembled her new one all by ourselves. Sweet!
Then, I had this wild hair. Actually, it's something I've been debating on for weeks. But, the thought of my recovering from surgery has sort of expedited my decision to move on it. We moved things around and reassembled ZJ's old day bed in my gallery. It was a huge project. And I hate it! BUT. I hope that I can tolerate it for the next month while I recoup from my surgery. If I can make it through today, I'll keep the daybed in the gallery for the month and then rearrange my room once I am past my surgery. Doug will be shocked when he gets home!
Today's project is to cover our cherry trees with netting. The cherries are ripening two weeks early and the birds are wreaking havoc on them! If I wait till Doug's home from camp, the cherries will be gone! So, I've just gone to town and bought tree netting. Now to figure out how to cover these trees that are taller than the house! Doug will be so surprised (and impressed)!
Last night, the girls and I went to Chili's for dinner and came home to finish up the projects. No word from Doug and Quayd, which must mean no cell phone reception. Deep sigh! I miss them! Doug won't be surprised...at Chili's or that I miss them!
My mom is having eye surgery tomorrow in Salt Lake tomorrow. She insisted that Rick is going to take care of her for this. I'm grateful that Rick will be there because I'll be busy getting Grace off to her girl's camp tomorrow until noon. If you could say a prayer for my mother, that would be appreciated! And that Rick does what he said he'd do! If he doesn't, my name will be M-U-D for not being available, even though I offered!
And last but not least, the promised bread recipe...
This is seriously the most simple bread I've ever made. It tastes just like English Muffins when it's toasted. And seriously. It was so simple and quick to make. I used my Bosch Kitchen Machine but, you wouldn't even need a bread mixer for this recipe. We have had it with jam, butter, honey and cinnamon sugar. So tasty!!
The more you love your decisions the less you need others to love them.
Prayers for your Mother's eye operation today and wishing her a very Happy Birthday tomorrow. Hope she is able to have a great day. You be very careful with all your jobs while Doug is gone'

Prayer coming. Wondering why or maybe how you can do all this with a bad knee and without Doug. You are brave and valiant. A daybed in the gallery will be fine...it beats the one I had to endure in the KITCHEN! Not nice, that one. Love you. Do NOT climb a ladder to shield the cherries...get a man to do it...or a scout from another troop that's not at camp. Anyone but you
