A few pix from the past week...
I love this picture of one of my Sleeping Beauties! The girls are best friends. I mean, best friends. They both have their beautiful bedrooms and I think that in the four months we have been in our home, they have slept in separate rooms about three times. So, while Grace was in Arizona, ZJ was not happy to sleep alone. My favorite thing was having ZJ crawl into bed with me after her dad went to work. I love this girl and I love our relationship.
Watching ZJ wait for Grace's plane was a sweet moment. We were able to get a "family pass" to the gate because Grace is a minor passenger. We barely arrived at the gate before the plane landed.
When Grace got off the plane and came around the corner of the ramp, we all saw each other and she started running toward us. ZJ insisted, "I get the first hug!" They were instantly giggling! We were not even a few feet from the gate before Grace was giving ZJ gifts.
They talked all they way home. Laughing, singing, telling each other stories of their week apart. there ere several times I heard them comment about being each other's best friend! Music to this mother's ears!
At 1AM, I was sending them a few texts to shhhhhh! Normally, everyone turns in their phones at 9:30. Where we didn't even get home until 11 and they were gabbing up a storm, I was not worried about them bothering with their phones.
With all that has happened recently, with Robert's passing, with the finality of Zaylee's situation and a few other things unmentionable at the moment, having my girls together again and feeling love and support of family and friends has been a blessing. Sometimes, even often, life is harder than we could ever dream, but with every fiber of my being, I can say, I know that with each challenge comes something of greater benefit... we may not see it right now, but we will... in time. Life is good.
Where's the like button? Sophia Corbridge I think you rock!!! Your posts always lifts my soul and you always see the good from everything. That is something I have learned from you and I try to incorporate that in my life. "Sometimes, even often, life is harder than we could ever dream, but with every fiber of my being, I can say, I know that with each challenge comes something of greater benefit... we may not see it right now, but we will... in time. Life is good." This really spoke to me this morning. Thank you so much!!!
