I should have posted these pix last week on the day that I shared our Zaylee news. Typepad has not yet responded, so I expect that the pix will be small. I'm getting to the bottom of the problem, however. Anyway, it's been an amazing school year. This year brought more change than any before because of the move in the middle of everything else. We're all adjusting and doing great though! I asked Quayd last week to tell me how he feels about the house on a scale of 1 -10, 10 being the best and he said 9! So, we're adjusting well! Now to begin our first summer in Logan. Here's the beginning of school and end of school pix.
Quayd's first day of his Junior year:
Last day. He's officially a Senior in High School! HOW did this happen!?!? This year, he's worked hard, saving money for his mission, become a member of the Thespians and really developed his love of acting and has finally expressed an interest in driving. One thing that I love about Quayd is his respect of girls. He doesn't do the "She's hot!" thing. It's always "She has the most beautiful eyes!" He's a gentleman. I love that about this boy!
Grace's first day of her Sophomore Year:
Grace has had a great sophomore year. She has loved school and worked hard to make good grades. She started dating and had her first "boyfriend". She's made the performance group at her school and will be singing and dancing as a Junior next year! She's also been working hard on her Young Womens goals. Beautiful inside and out! One thing I love about Grace is that she takes listening to the Spirit very seriously. When she's prompted, she acts. I love that!
ZJ's first day of eight grade: (Oh, those glasses! So glad that fad didn't last long!)
ZJ has developed into a lovely young woman this year. She's my right arm! She's worked as hard (or harder) on our move and getting the new home together. She was Miss Social at school all year. ZJ organizes and plans and follows through and she keeps us laughing a lot! She's excited to be a Freshman this year and says, "It's time to get serious about grades." When she puts her mind to something, it happens! One thing that I love about ZJ is her humor. She makes me laugh most when she asks for something and says, very quickly, "I'll be your best friend!" and if you ask her to do something that she doesn't like doing or tell her something she didn't want to hear, it's "That hurts my feelgoods."
I could not love these kids any more! They are amazing and wonderful! We're looking forward to a summer of sun, fun, trips to the ranch, gatherings with friends and making some memories!
Life is good!
We call that a "senior moment" Sophia!
