Yesterday, I had my "To Do" list ready to go to gather the things I needed for Taylor's shower. I met Natalie for a coke and to pick up something for the shower. We said goodbye and I headed to Hobby Lobby. As I was driving, I literally felt like I needed to do a u-turn and head straight home. I sent home and within five minutes, I was shivering and shaking and freezing to death. Four quilts were not enough to warm me up. I have spent the last 30 hours in bed or in the bathroom. I've bawled because I'm hurting so and bawled because this morning, Carol and Taylor have had to let every person know that the shower was being moved to her sister, Mary Ann's home. We have a note on the door letting people know that our home is quarantined. I've planned on giving Carol's girls showers since I gave Carol a baby shower when she was expecting Madi. This broke my heart. I'm still shivering and wrapped up in blankets. So, the kids having strep and now me having the flu... ours is not the home to visit right now.
It will all be over in a few days, I'm sure. Life is good. So is not having the flu...especially on important days in life.
Oh No! I hope by now the illnesses are out or on their way out and you all are feeling better!

Sometimes we all just try to do too much. Maybe someone is trying to tell you to "cut back" just a little. I'm sure all your friends and family will understand if you are not always the "hostess with the mostest" Sophie. Your health is the most important thing.

So sorry to read this Sophia, take good care of yourself and I will keep you in my prayers. I know you enjoy organizing this shower, too bad this flu had to happen at the wrong time.
